Cadence
Cadence — Privacy Policy
Last updated 30 August 2026
Overview
Cadence is designed to collect as little as possible. This page explains what the app stores and what it doesn’t.
What Cadence stores
Your workouts — the exercises, intervals, rounds, and rest periods you define. That’s it. There is no account, no profile, and no other personal information collected by the app.
Where it’s stored
Workouts are stored locally on your device. If you have iCloud backup enabled, your workouts are included in that backup so they can be restored if you reinstall Cadence or switch devices. Northlight does not have a server, and does not receive or store copies of your workouts.
In-app purchase
Cadence offers a one-time unlock for CSV paste, custom cues, and unlimited saved workouts. This purchase is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store; Northlight does not receive or store any payment information.
Audio cues and music
Cadence plays its own audio cues over your music using audio ducking — it briefly lowers other audio, plays the cue, then lets the music return. Cadence does not record, transmit, or store any audio from your music library.
Analytics and tracking
Cadence does not use third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking of any kind. Nothing about your use of the app is sent to Northlight or any other party.
Children’s privacy
Cadence is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from children.
