Meridian — Privacy Policy

Last updated 30 August 2026

Overview

Meridian is designed to collect as little as possible. This page explains what the app stores and what it doesn’t.

What Meridian stores

Your alarm settings — wake times, ramp lengths, ambience choices, and repeat schedules. That’s it. There is no account, no profile, and no other personal information collected by the app.

Where it’s stored

Alarm settings are stored locally on your device. If you have iCloud backup enabled, your settings are included in that backup so they can be restored if you reinstall Meridian or switch devices. Northlight does not have a server, and does not receive or store copies of your alarm settings.

In-app purchase

Meridian offers a one-time unlock for the full ambient library and additional ramp options. This purchase is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store; Northlight does not receive or store any payment information.

Audio

Ambient audio for the wake ramp and wind-down is bundled with the app. No audio is recorded, transmitted, or stored on any server. The sounds you hear are the files that shipped with the app.

Analytics and tracking

Meridian does not use third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking of any kind. Nothing about your use of the app is sent to Northlight or any other party.

Children’s privacy

Meridian is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from children.
